P.G. Demidov Yaroslavl State University is the flagship university of the Yaroslavl region, the leading higher educational institution in the Upper Volga region. This is a classical, multi-disciplinary educational institution that trains students in 70 specialties and areas: the university has more than 7,000 students.

 

About the University YSU

The university has ten faculties: law, mathematics, physics, economics, history, computer science, social and political sciences, psychology, biology and ecology, philology and communication.

Rector of YarSU – Alexander Rusakov, doctor of chemical sciences, professor, deputy chairman of the commission for the development of education and science, member of the public chamber of the Yaroslavl region.

YarSU has scientific schools in mathematics, biology, physics, psychology, computer science, sociology, history, law, and chemistry that are known outside the region and the country.

Yaroslavl is the capital of the Golden Ring of ancient Russian cities. It’s an ideal place for studying the Russian language.

Our university has a successful experience in organizing specialized programs for international students and summer schools. The staff of the International Affairs provide all possible support to visiting students, and the atmosphere in the city is very friendly.
