Kemerovo State University is the flagship university of Kemerovo Region-Kuzbass. In 2017, KemSU was granted the status of flagship university (one of 33 in Russia, and in 2018 it ranked among Russia’s top-10 flagship universities).

 

About the University KemSU

KemSU is a member and coordinator of World-Class Research and Academic Centre “Kuzbass”. International students are admitted at KemSU within the Russian Government’s quota or they can pay full tuition fee. Compatriots (people with Russian heritage) may also compete for the places funded from the Russian Federation’s budget as along with Russian applicants. While studying at KemSU for their degrees, students may simultaneously enroll at professional development or retraining programs in Pedagogics, Foreign Languages and Translation, Management, etc.

KemSU’s Preparatory department welcomes international students wishing to improve their knowledge of the Russian Language and other academic subjects. Since the 1990s, students from Armenia, Afghanistan, Belgium, China, France, Guinea, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Ivory Coast, Laos, Mongolia, Syria, Sudan, Turkey, Vietnam, and Zambia have mastered their knowledge of Russian at Kemerovo State University. The duration of the program is one year. In 2020/21 students will be trained using distance learning technologies.
